Leader's Message

Tena koutou katoa,
The 2023 school year has started in another challenging fashion with floods & a cyclone. Many families and staff within our school communities were affected and we continue to support them in any way we can.
This year we welcomed Molly Tagaloa from St Paul’s College onto the Across School Leads team and we farewelled Sam Tanielu. A huge thank you to Sam for his work for our Kāhui ako and we look forward to working with Molly.
We may have had a bumpy start to the school year but we’ve been busy. We have met with a passionate ASL team and our Principals. Unfortunately we have had to postpone our Conference until 2024. Book in the date now: Friday 22nd March.
Our Within School Leads attended a Hui on Monday 27th March at Christ the King School to make connections and fire up for the year.
We have welcomed on board Patrick Walsh principal of Sacred Heart College as another co-leader of our Kāhui ako alongside the schools in the East: Sacred Heart College, Baradene College, St Michael’s Remuera, St Mary’s Ellerslie, St Joseph’s Orakei, St Ignatius St Heliers, Mt Carmel Meadowbank and St Pius X Glen Innes. We are excited to be able to widen the Auckland Central Catholic Kāhui ako’s reach and know we have much to learn from each other. As a collective, collaborative, faith filled group under a Special Catholic Character ethos we continue to work to make a difference in the lives of our communities.
We look forward to the journey ahead.
Nga manaakitanga katoa a te Atua
All God's Blessings
